It has been too long since my last post. School, moving, and life took it's course, but I'm back it's 2013. So let's get down to it.

The lace wigs are still being in use but I believe they are ready to retire.. I still do like lace wigs though. Taking the place of the lace wigs are the u-part or l-part wigs. They are easier to install, no adhesives are being used in the application(even though you can apply the lace wigs with no adhesives), and you can make them yourself. If you have your edges in tact then the u-part wigs are for you. If not there are still a few options.....

1. Invisible part- (done right please)
2. Full head weaves
3. Go natural... completely

The Side Braid..

The big loose side braid is huge this season and hopefully it continues for a little while. The best part is that it's a style that can be worn to the grocery store, lunch, or the club. To achieve the look finger comb the hair to the side the key is to not make the hair too tight or perfect looking, keep it organic. Braid the hair loosely and add an elastic to the end of the hair leave about 2 inches of hair out at the end of the elasitc. Tousle the bangs or make em sleek and away you go. Wurkkkk!!!

Organic Hair Do's

Let's face it. There is a lot of effort that goes into a good hair day. And the messy/organic hair do can be fun, raw, wild, sexy and most importantly effortless.

After washing your hair run a little moose or hair oil through it. Maybe do a little side swoop, get dressed, put on some accessories and turn your messy hair into an organic hair day!

What to do with synthetic feathers?

Real rooster feather extensions are making a hit this season in a big way. However, some take issue with the hormones that the roosters are fed in order to produce those long silky feathers. For those people synthetic feathers are the answer. But the one problem is: Just how heat resistant are synthetic feathers?

Synthetic hair in general is not the most heat resistant but the trick to flat ironing or curling this type of hair/feathers is water..

Before adding any heat to synthetic hair/feathers spritz some water on it. Do not drench the hair, 2-3 pumps will do.

Simple, easy, conscious, and affordable!
